The Confuron and Cotetidot families have deep roots in Burgundy, with viticultural histories stretching back to the seventeenth century. The domaine was established in 1964 through their union and is now based in Vosne Romanée, where the family farms around 11 hectares across the Côte de Nuits. Led by Yves Confuron, the estate follows a traditional approach, favouring organic vineyard practices, low yields and whole bunch fermentation. The wines are characteristically concentrated and structured, combining ripe fruit with firm tannins and the capacity to develop over many years.
Les Suchots is one of Vosne Romanée's most highly regarded Premier Cru vineyards, situated between the Grand Cru sites of Richebourg and Romanée Saint Vivant. Its position and clay limestone soils produce Pinot Noir that balances the richness and depth of Vosne with an appealing aromatic lift. The wine brings together ripe cherry and dark berry fruit with violet, sweet spice and earthy complexity. Whole bunch fermentation adds a savoury dimension and structural depth, while ageing in French oak helps integrate the firm tannins. A powerful yet refined expression of Vosne Romanée.
