Domaine Catherine and Pierre Breton is a highly regarded estate in Vouvray in the Loire Valley. Catherine and Pierre Breton farm their vineyards organically and biodynamically, focusing on old Chenin Blanc vines planted on tuffeau, clay and sandy soils. The couple work with a deep respect for the environment and living soil, using cover crops, compost and herbal preparations, and harvesting entirely by hand. In the cellar, they rely on indigenous yeasts, minimal intervention and careful aging in stainless steel or older vessels to allow the purity of fruit and the subtle nuances of the terroir to emerge in every vintage.
