François Rousset-Martin is one of Jura’s most compelling modern growers, crafting precise, site-driven wines from the slopes around Château-Chalon. Trained in biology and oenology in Burgundy, he brings a meticulous, almost Burgundian approach to his work, focusing on parcel-by-parcel vinification and a clear expression of terroir. Working organically with minimal intervention, his wines are often made in an ouillé (topped-up) style, highlighting purity, freshness and detail rather than oxidative character.
The result is a range defined by energy, tension and clarity, combining Jura’s distinctive identity with a refined, modern precision, wines that have quickly gained a cult following among enthusiasts.
A distinctive, oxidative-style Chardonnay aged for several years under veil, this cuvée offers a powerful yet precise expression of Jura. The nose reveals layers of ripe orchard fruit, hazelnut, brioche and subtle spice. On the palate, it is dry, structured and intensely long, with bright acidity cutting through a rich, nutty core and a marked saline, mineral edge. Complex and demanding, it balances concentration with tension — a deeply characterful wine that captures the raw, uncompromising spirit of the Jura.
