Domaine Jean François Ganevat is one of the Jura’s most celebrated and influential estates, renowned for producing wines of extraordinary precision, energy and individuality. Based in Rotalier, in the southern Jura, Jean François and Anne Ganevat farm a remarkable collection of old vineyards according to organic and biodynamic principles, preserving rare vine material and allowing each parcel to express its own identity. Through meticulous vineyard work and a minimalist approach in the cellar, Ganevat has become a reference point for wines that combine the delicacy of Jura with the complexity and longevity of great terroir driven wines.

Chardonnay Grusse En Billat is a pure expression of Chardonnay from one of Ganevat’s prized Jura parcels. Sourced from the marl soils around Grusse, the wine reflects the distinctive combination of richness, freshness and mineral tension that defines the region’s finest Chardonnay. The grapes are carefully hand harvested before undergoing spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a long maturation in old oak barrels, allowing texture and complexity to develop while preserving the purity of the fruit. Aromas of lemon zest, ripe orchard fruit and white flowers are layered with hazelnut, herbs, subtle spice and Jura’s characteristic saline minerality. The palate is concentrated yet finely balanced, combining creamy texture with vibrant acidity and a long, savoury finish.
