Domaine Jeandaugé is a small family estate in the heart of Gascony, run by Sébastien Fezas, whose thoughtful, low intervention approach has helped redefine the region beyond its traditional reputation for Armagnac and bulk wine. Farming organically and guided by biodynamic principles, the domaine works without herbicides or synthetic treatments, encouraging biodiversity and healthy soils across its vineyards. Indigenous fermentations, minimal sulphur and patient élevage allow each wine to express the character of its site with clarity and freshness, producing some of the most exciting contemporary wines in south west France.
Partie Fine is a singular expression of 100% Tannat, made from organically farmed vines rooted in the clay limestone soils around Courrensan. Produced as a Vin de France, the wine steps outside the conventions of the local appellation to showcase Tannat in a more lifted, transparent and approachable style than is traditionally associated with the variety. Hand harvested fruit undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts before ageing in neutral vessels to preserve purity and avoid excessive extraction or oak influence. The result is a beautifully vibrant interpretation of Tannat, offering dark cherry, blackberry and damson alongside violet, black tea, cracked pepper and wild herbs. The palate is energetic and finely structured, with polished tannins, bright acidity and a long mineral finish that demonstrates the grape's elegance as much as its power.
