The Confuron and Cotetidot families have deep roots in Burgundy, with viticultural histories stretching back to the seventeenth century. The domaine was established in 1964 through their union and is now based in Vosne Romanée, where the family farms around 11 hectares across the Côte de Nuits. Led by Yves Confuron, the estate follows a traditional approach, favouring organic vineyard practices, low yields and late harvesting to achieve full phenolic ripeness. Whole bunch fermentation is central to the domaine's style, producing wines with considerable structure, aromatic complexity and the capacity to develop over many years.

Échézeaux is a large and varied Grand Cru vineyard, producing Pinot Noir that can combine the richness of Vosne Romanée with considerable depth and structure. This bottling displays dark cherry and ripe berry fruit alongside violet, exotic spice and earthy notes. Whole bunch fermentation contributes a distinctive savoury character, while firm, fine grained tannins and fresh acidity provide structure beneath the generous fruit. The result is a powerful yet nuanced Burgundy, with the concentration and complexity expected of a Grand Cru.
