Domaine Georges Noëllat is a Vosne Romanée based estate with deep roots in Burgundy, now led by Maxime Cheurlin, who has refined the domaine’s style toward greater precision and consistency while maintaining its traditional foundations. The estate holds parcels across key villages in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, including Vosne Romanée, Nuits Saint Georges and Chambolle Musigny, with a focus on careful vineyard management, controlled yields and meticulous harvest timing. In the cellar, the approach balances structure and polish, with measured extraction and élevage in French oak used to shape wines that are both approachable in youth and capable of ageing.

The Vosne Romanée is drawn from village level parcels within the appellation, where limestone rich soils with a proportion of clay contribute to the perfume and finesse that define the village. Compared to neighbouring Nuits Saint Georges, Vosne Romanée typically shows greater aromatic lift and silkier tannin structure, with a more layered and expressive profile. In Noëllat’s hands, vinification is carried out with controlled extraction to preserve delicacy while building structure, followed by élevage in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak to support integration and depth. The wine shows red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, with rose petal, spice and a subtle savoury note. The palate is supple and finely textured, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a long, elegant finish that reflects both the charm of Vosne Romanée and the domaine’s polished style.
