Julien Crinquand is amongst the young generation of brilliant vignerons in the Jura. Situated in the small village of Les Arsures, the young and dynamic Julien did not choose to take over the family vineyards at first. The Grapes were sold to the cooperative in Arbois. Instead, he studied insurance and sold holidays. he came back to the Jura in 2016.
He came back to the jura in 2016. attracted by the vines that made a huge impact on him during his teenage years. He first helped his father and then fellow Jura makers Philippe Bonnard and Fabrice Dodane.
In 2017 he retrained in viticulture and oenology and worked with Dodane at Domaine de St Pierre. In 2019, He officially took over the vineyards of his father and grandfather, the cartoon on his labels. The Domaine consist of 5 hectares of vines in 3 distinctive area: Les Bodines, La Mailloche and Verleule. The vineyards are planted with all 5 main Jura grapes. His cellars are set next to the family home, he has a hands-off approach but doesn’t like funky wines. Combining stainless steel and oak barrels. Therefore, the wines are precise, fresh and crystallin. He is soon to be the little darling of the Jura.
