35yo vines on marls with rocky limestone scree, a steep south-west facing hillside in Nevy-sur-Seille (lieu-dit La Chaux) – a village entitled to the Château-Chalon AC for many of its vineyards. Aged for ten months, the terroir cuts through the incredibly pure zesty fruit, with roasted almond notes, and the low yields give the wine resonance and intensity.
A vibrant expression of Trousseau from Céline and Steve Gormally's Domaine Les Dolomies in the Jura. Made from organically farmed grapes, the wine reflects the domaine's gentle approach to extraction and minimal intervention in the cellar. Bright red cherry, wild raspberry and redcurrant meet delicate floral notes, white pepper and subtle earthy spice. The palate is light and finely structured, with fresh acidity, supple tannins and a savoury mineral character. Juicy and expressive without sacrificing depth, this is a particularly approachable style of Trousseau, combining delicate red fruit with the freshness and energy characteristic of the variety.
