Benoit Courault farms his small estate in Faye d’Anjou in the Loire Valley on schist and brown sand soils that give his wines precision and energy. He began the domaine in 2006 after training in Burgundy and working at natural wine estates such as Domaine de l’Anglore in Tavel. Courault farms organically and biodynamically, using compost and herbal teas in the vineyards and native yeast ferments in the cellar, with minimal intervention to let site and variety speak clearly.

Tabeneaux Cabernet Grolleau 2023 is a red wine made from Cabernet Franc and Grolleau grown on the Tabeneaux parcel in Anjou. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then matured on fine lees in older oak barrels and tanks before bottling without fining or filtration. The wine shows bright red and dark berry aromas with pepper and spice notes, lively acidity and a supple texture that highlights varietal character and freshness.
