VINB is a young Sicilian estate founded in 2022 by Biagio Di Stefano and Vittorio D’Angelo, two friends who returned to their native Vittoria after gaining experience with some of the region’s most respected names, including COS and Arianna Occhipinti. Based between the historic contrade of Bastonaca, Ragoleti and Ganzeria, they farm nearly 5 hectares of organically cultivated vines on a mix of red sands, limestone and volcanic-influenced soils.

Inspired by the traditional wines of Vittoria, their approach combines meticulous manual farming with low-intervention winemaking. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, gently foot-trodden, fermented with minimal extraction and bottled with only tiny additions of sulphur. Drawing on both the freshness of the Hyblaean Mountains and the warmth of southern Sicily, VINB crafts vibrant, terroir-driven wines that emphasise purity, balance and drinkability. Despite being a very young project, they have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new voices in Vittoria.

T.V.B. stands for “ti voglio bene,” a Sicilian sign-off meaning “I care for you” that captures the affection behind this juicy, sun-slicked Nero d’Avola. The 2023 vintage was warm and dry, but well-timed spring rains helped keep vines hydrated, yielding fruit with ripeness and balance. Destemmed and fermented in open vats, the wine was then aged in fibreglass and bottled unfiltered with no sulphur. It pours a deep purple with aromas of wild plum, black cherry, cracked pepper and dried rosemary. Vibrant and quenching, with a savoury bite and herbal lift, this is Nero d’Avola in its most energetic and drinkable form.
