Retsina of Mesogia, Georgas Family 2022
Georgas Family
Dimitris Georgas is the fourth generation of the Georgas family to farm this estate and to produce wines, he took over the running of the family estate twenty years ago. The family’s wine-making techniques have evolved over the years, responding to changes in the consumer palate, for instance, less resin is incorporated into the Retsina wines, and cold maceration is used. The family’s 6-hectare estate comprises 12 small, but different plots.
Yellow-amber in colour with a citrusy and herbaceous nose with noticeable aromas of pine, well integrated tannins and acidity on a textured palate.
