Domaine Georges Noëllat is a Vosne Romanée based estate with deep roots in Burgundy, now led by Maxime Cheurlin, who has refined the domaine’s style toward greater precision and consistency while maintaining its traditional foundations. The estate holds parcels across key villages in the Côte de Nuits, including Vosne Romanée, Nuits Saint Georges and Chambolle Musigny, with a focus on careful vineyard management, controlled yields and meticulous harvest timing. In the cellar, the approach balances structure and polish, with measured extraction and élevage in French oak used to shape wines that are both approachable in youth and capable of ageing.

The Nuits Saint Georges is drawn from village level parcels within the appellation, where a mix of limestone and clay soils contributes to the darker, more structured profile associated with the village. Compared to Vosne Romanée, the style here leans toward greater tannic presence and a more savoury expression, while still retaining clarity and balance. Vinification is carried out with controlled extraction to build structure without overworking the fruit, followed by élevage in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak, allowing integration while supporting the wine’s natural depth. The wine shows dark cherry, blackberry and plum, with spice, earth and a subtle savoury edge. The palate is structured and firm, with fine but present tannins, fresh acidity and a long, composed finish that reflects the more robust character of Nuits Saint Georges.
