Ageno, La Stoppa 2016
La Stoppa
La Stoppa is an ancient estate. Previously owned by Mr. Ageno, an Italian solicitor and visionary, who was one of the first Italians to date and plant French varietals on Italian soils. Acquired in 1973 by the Pantaleoni family who restored the vineyards and the cellars.
Brilliant amber with intense aromas of caramelised cedar, walnut and spices. The palate is elegant, reflecting the notes found in the bouquet, and persistent.
There are just a few macerated wines out there that can compete with the precision and structure of this incredible wine.
