Benoit Courault farms his small estate in Faye d’Anjou in the Loire Valley on schist and brown sand soils that give his wines precision and energy. He began the domaine in 2006 after training in Burgundy and working at natural wine estates such as Domaine de l’Anglore in Tavel. Courault farms organically and biodynamically, using compost and herbal teas in the vineyards and native yeast ferments in the cellar, with minimal intervention to let site and variety speak clearly.
MAGNUM P’it Chemin Sec 2024 is a dry white made from 100 % Chenin Blanc grown on schist and brown sand soils in Anjou. The grapes are hand harvested and gently pressed, then fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged on fine lees before bottling without fining or filtration. The wine shows bright orchard fruit and citrus aromatics, a round palate with saline freshness and clarity that reflects the natural and terroir driven approach of the domaine.
