Sylvain Jacquot farms only a couple of hectares of vines around Arbois. The parcels are located in the communes of Buvilly, Arbois, Montigny lès Arsures and Chamoz.
A traditional fortified wine from the Jura, Macvin Rosé is made by blending fresh, unfermented grape must with Marc du Jura, a grape spirit distilled from local pomace. Produced by Caveau du Val d'Amour, the wine combines the natural sweetness of the grapes with the warmth and structure of the spirit. Aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry and cherry are joined by candied orange peel, gentle spice and subtle almond notes. The palate is rich and rounded, with concentrated red fruit, a smooth texture and enough freshness to balance the sweetness. A distinctive and aromatic Jura speciality, equally suited to an aperitif or alongside fruit-based desserts.
