A special single-vineyard red from El Chupadero, a remarkable parcel farmed by Lalo, an elderly grower with whom Victoria has developed a close relationship. Sitting at an extraordinary 1,400 metres altitude on La Palma, the vineyard is planted with ungrafted Listán Negro and Negramoll on a complex mix of clay, sand and volcanic stone. The 2022 was fermented spontaneously with whole bunches before ageing in concrete.
Bright cherry and wild berries meet violet, balsamic herbs and a subtle earthy character. The palate is light yet concentrated, with beautifully fine tannins, vibrant freshness and a distinctly volcanic energy. Elegant, savoury and wonderfully individual, with impressive depth despite its delicate frame.
