Clos Lapeyre is an organic and biodynamic estate in the Jurançon appellation of South‑West France, farmed by Jean‑Bernard Larrieu and his family on steep, south‑facing slopes near the Pyrenees. The domaine has been certified organic since the mid‑2000s and later adopted biodynamic methods. Vineyards are planted with the classic local white varieties Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Courbu, which feature in the estate’s range of dry and sweet wines that showcase the region’s vibrant acidity and distinctive fruit character.
Evidencia 2022 from Clos Lapeyre is a dry white blend of Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Courbu vinified with minimal intervention. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately before being blended and matured together in large, previously used oak barrels (demi‑muids). The wine typically sees vinification on its lees and expresses bright pear, apple and citrus notes with floral spice and a pleasing mineral acidity, making an expressive yet approachable Jurançon AOC white.
