Maxime Cheurlin Noëllat is the personal label of Maxime Cheurlin, who also leads Domaine Georges Noëllat in Vosne Romanée. Alongside the family estate, this project allows him to work with carefully selected fruit from across the Côte de Nuits, applying the same detail focused approach in both vineyard sourcing and cellar work. The style is consistent with his broader philosophy, combining precise vineyard selection with measured extraction and considered élevage, resulting in wines that balance structure with accessibility. The emphasis remains on clarity of fruit and regional expression, rather than overt oak or heaviness.

This Côte de Nuits Villages is sourced from parcels across the appellation, where limestone and clay soils provide a balanced framework of freshness and structure. The wine sits stylistically between Bourgogne and village level wines, offering more depth and definition while retaining an approachable profile. Vinification is carried out with controlled extraction to preserve clarity and avoid excessive tannin, followed by élevage in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak to add structure and integration. The wine shows red cherry, raspberry and cranberry, with subtle spice, floral lift and a light earthy undertone. The palate is supple yet structured, with fine tannins, bright acidity and a clean, balanced finish that reflects both the character of the appellation and Cheurlin’s polished, precise style.
