Arianna’s home town of Vittoria lies in the far south of Sicily just to the west of Ragusa. It is here that she has been making wine for the past ten years under the tutelage of her uncle, Giusto Occhipinti who owns and runs the famous COS estate.
Contrada FL (Fossa di Lupo) is a more structured and earthy expression of Frappato, coming from iron-rich red soils with a higher clay content. Compared to PT, it shows greater depth and grip, with darker fruit, subtle spice and a more grounded, savoury profile. Still marked by freshness and lift, it offers a firmer, more textural interpretation of the variety, with a clear sense of place.
