Michel Gonet is a historic family house in the Côte des Blancs, tracing its roots back to the early 1800s. Today, Sophie Gonet oversees the estate with a focus on purity and precision, crafting Chardonnay-led expressions that reflect the limestone-rich soils of Grand Cru villages such as Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The vineyards span around 40 hectares, and the house follows sustainable practices with minimal intervention, producing wines that emphasise vibrant acidity, fine mousse, and a clear sense of terroir.
A Blanc de Blancs Champagne made from Chardonnay grown in two distinct terroirs: Vindey, in the Sézannais, and Montgueux, near Troyes. The vineyards benefit from chalk-rich soils, bringing freshness and mineral definition to the wine, while the Chardonnay from Montgueux contributes a riper, more generous character. Citrus, ripe apple and white flowers meet subtle brioche and toasted almond notes. The palate is finely textured, with delicate bubbles, refreshing acidity and a balance between richness and precision. Elegant and expressive, with a long, chalky finish.
