The Vincey family has been winemakers for eight generations, but it wasn't until Quentin joined in 2009 that production evolved into its current form. They manage 7 hectares in Oger, Mesnil, and Chouilly, and since Quentin's arrival, have eliminated the use of pesticides and herbicides. They have been adhering to biodynamic principles for over three years. An exceptional winemaker, Quentin creates wines with a wonderful fullness of fruit and layered complexity. Truly worth exploring, as their wines are poised to become legendary.
Les Vignes de Germinon 2021 comes from a single parcel in Chouilly planted to Chardonnay on deep chalk soils with thin topsoil, giving naturally high acidity and saline drive. The 2021 vintage was cool and challenging, resulting in lower yields and heightened freshness. The wine is precise and airy, with lemon zest, white flowers, chalk dust and subtle almond notes, carried by fine mousse and a long, mineral finish.
