The Vincey family has been winemakers for eight generations, but it wasn't until Quentin joined in 2009 that production evolved into its current form. They manage 7 hectares in Oger, Mesnil, and Chouilly, and since Quentin's arrival, have eliminated the use of pesticides and herbicides. They have been adhering to biodynamic principles for over three years. An exceptional winemaker, Quentin creates wines with a wonderful fullness of fruit and layered complexity. Truly worth exploring, as their wines are poised to become legendary.
Chemin de Chalons 2021 is sourced from a single Chardonnay parcel in Le Mesnil sur Oger planted on pure, deep chalk soils that naturally deliver high acidity and saline precision. The 2021 vintage was cool and low yielding, producing wines of marked freshness and linearity. This cuvée shows lemon oil, green apple, white flowers and crushed chalk, with a fine mousse, taut structure and a long, mineral finish shaped by the site.
