Michel Gonet is a historic family house in the Côte des Blancs, tracing its roots back to the early 1800s. Today, Sophie Gonet oversees the estate with a focus on purity and precision, crafting Chardonnay-led expressions that reflect the limestone-rich soils of Grand Cru villages such as Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The vineyards span around 40 hectares, and the house follows sustainable practices with minimal intervention, producing wines that emphasise vibrant acidity, fine mousse, and a clear sense of terroir.
The Cuvée 3 Terroirs Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is made entirely from Chardonnay, blending fruit sourced from select parcels across three distinct Gran Cru sites: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Vindey and Montgueux. In the glass, it shows a bright golden hue. The nose reveals layered aromas of white flowers, citrus and wet stone, followed by delicate notes of toasted almond, brioche and a touch of butter. On the palate, the mousse is fine and persistent, carrying savoury nuance and clear mineral precision. Structured and expressive, it balances intensity with freshness, making it a refined and elegant choice as an aperitif.
