From just 0.18ha in the east-facing Dalsheimer Bürgel, one of the coolest sites in the Wonnegau, this Pinot Noir comes from vines planted in 2001 on calcareous clay over limestone and marl. The 2024 was fermented with 30% whole bunches before ageing for 15 months in barrique, 50% new. Delicate and beautifully restrained, it shows lifted red berries, cherry and subtle floral notes over a fine limestone minerality. The palate is light and filigree yet remarkably deep, with vivid acidity, fine tannins and a dense, energetic core. A precise, complex Pinot that puts finesse firmly ahead of power.
