The Caslot family have been farming their domaine of thirty-three hectares since 1640 from their farmhouse which sits on the hill overlooking the vines in the heart of the superb terroir of Restigné. Today Pierre’s son Emmanuel and daughter Stéphanie are in charge. These dynamic siblings have been instrumental in upgrading the winery equipment and converting the domain to organic farming.
The 2011 is drinking beautifully now showing complex ripe plum and berry aromas with earth and brown spice. The palate is supple and round, the tannins velvety and soft with a minty freshness supporting the ripe fruit in the finish.
