Domaine Georges Noëllat is a Vosne Romanée based estate with deep roots in Burgundy, now led by Maxime Cheurlin, who took over from his grandmother and has since refined the domaine’s style toward greater precision and consistency. The estate holds parcels across some of the most sought after villages in the Côte de Nuits, including Vosne Romanée, Nuits Saint Georges and Chambolle Musigny, with a focus on careful vineyard work, controlled yields and meticulous harvest timing. In the cellar, the approach balances traditional structure with a more modern sense of polish, using measured extraction and élevage in French oak to produce wines that are both accessible in youth and capable of ageing.

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir is sourced from parcels in the Côte de Nuits, often including fruit from declassified village sites or vineyards just outside the more prestigious appellations, giving a wine that overdelivers for its level. The style reflects the broader Noëllat signature in a more immediate form, combining ripe fruit with underlying structure and finesse. Vinification is carried out with controlled extraction to preserve clarity while building gentle tannic shape, followed by élevage in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak relative to the domaine’s higher level wines. The wine shows red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, with subtle spice, floral lift and a light earthy note. The palate is supple but structured, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a balanced, persistent finish that captures the essence of Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir in an approachable frame.
