Cyprien Arlaud is part of the third generation at Domaine Arlaud in Morey Saint Denis, a family estate with roots in the post war period and holdings across some of the Côte de Nuits’ most significant terroirs. Over the past two decades, he has steered the domaine toward organic and biodynamic farming, with a strong focus on expressing site through purity and precision. Alongside the domaine wines, he developed the Scritch range as a contemporary, accessible exploration of Burgundy’s white terroirs, built around organically farmed parcels and a lighter, more immediate style of élevage
Bourgogne Chardonnay Scritch is sourced from multiple parcels across Burgundy, with a clear emphasis on limestone driven tension and clarity. Whole bunch pressing is followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, then ageing on lees to build texture without overt oak influence. The wine shows a lifted, precise profile of citrus, white flowers and subtle stone fruit, carried by bright acidity and a fine saline edge. The texture is clean and lightly rounded from lees work, but remains taut and mineral, finishing with a crisp, chalky persistence
