Maison Deux Montille is the négociant and white wine focused project of Étienne de Montille and Alix de Montille, based in Volnay and operating alongside Domaine de Montille. It was created to extend the family’s work into selected vineyard sources across the Côte de Beaune and wider Burgundy, while maintaining a consistent philosophy of organic farming, low intervention winemaking and precise, site led expression. The focus is on Chardonnay from carefully chosen growers and parcels, with vinification designed to highlight purity, tension and mineral definition rather than overt richness or heavy oak influence.

This Bourgogne Blanc is sourced from a selection of organically farmed Chardonnay parcels across the Côte de Beaune, chosen for their balance of fruit clarity, freshness and structural potential. It is conceived as a precise, entry level expression of the Maison style rather than a regional blend of broad composition, with each component contributing acidity, texture or aromatic lift depending on vintage conditions. Vinification is carried out with native yeasts and gentle pressing, followed by élevage in French oak barrels with a restrained proportion of new wood to maintain focus and definition. The wine shows lemon zest, green apple and ripe pear, with white flowers, almond and a subtle chalky, saline undertone. The palate is clean and linear, with a fine mineral core and a fresh, gently tapered finish that prioritises clarity over weight.
