Bourgogne Blanc Cote D'Or, Domaine Bzikot 2021
Domaine Bzikot
Sylvain Bzikot makes wines with real personality. The 13.2 hectare estate was originally created by his grandparents at the beginning of the 1940s. They arrived as Polish migrants in Meursault to work in the vineyards as their friends and relations did before them. After a few years working in the fields, they began as “metayer fermier” and subsequently bought a few tiny parcels of land which they planted progressively. At the time farming was polycultural; not only vines but also cereal and cattle. Now that his parents have retired Sylvain is totally in charge of vineyard operations and also has been developing estate bottling (started twenty years ago).
A step up from the Bourgogne Blanc. Rich, concentrated, lovely deep citrus notes, almonds, green fruit and amazing freshness.
