Domaine aux Moines’ Berceau des Fées cuvée represents a more delicate but no less profound expression of Savennières, drawn from specific parcels within the Roche aux Moines sector. The Laroche family approach remains identical, organic farming, deep respect for soil life and a patient, non intrusive cellar philosophy. Tessa Laroche’s influence has brought even greater transparency and confidence, including experiments with extremely low sulphur and zero added sulphur bottlings, always guided by balance rather than ideology.
Berceau des Fées emphasises finesse and inner harmony over scale. The site produces Chenin of lifted aromatics and refined structure, shaped by schist soils and a gentle mesoclimate. The wine shows a sense of quiet completeness, with ripe orchard fruit, subtle floral notes and a flowing mineral core. Acidity is present but seamless, binding the wine rather than dominating it. The impression is of grace, poise and clarity, with a finish that lingers softly yet persistently.
