I Cacciagalli is a biodynamic estate located in the Alto Casertano, at the foot of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano in northern Campania. Founded by Diana Iannaccone and Mario Basco, the estate was created with the ambition of restoring the agricultural heritage of the area through a diverse, self sustaining farm combining vineyards, olive trees, orchards and native biodiversity. Working with indigenous Campanian varieties and farming according to organic and biodynamic principles, the domaine focuses on expressing the energy of its volcanic landscape through spontaneous fermentations, minimal intervention and traditional techniques. The result is a collection of wines that capture the freshness, mineral character and individuality of this lesser known corner of Campania.

Aorivola is a pure expression of Falanghina, sourced from a single vineyard in the village of Aorivola, Caianello, within the Roccamonfina IGT. Planted at 300 metres above sea level on volcanic, clay limestone soils rich in organic matter, the vineyard benefits from the combination of Mediterranean warmth, elevation and volcanic minerality. Hand harvested grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a short 12 hour maceration on the skins before being vinified and aged in concrete tanks. Bottled without clarification or filtration, the wine preserves the direct expression of the vineyard and variety. Fragrant aromas of white flowers, lemon zest, citrus peel and ripe orchard fruit are layered with subtle herbal and mineral notes. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with bright acidity, a gentle textural richness and a saline finish that gives this Falanghina a distinctive Casertano character.
