Jumpin’ Juice is the collaborative project of Australian winemakers Patrick Sullivan and Xavier Goodridge, two friends united by a shared appreciation for wines that prioritise drinkability over dogma. Since launching the project in 2011, the pair have built a reputation for working with organically farmed fruit, minimal intervention and a healthy disregard for the conventions of Australian winemaking. Drawing on fruit from across Victoria and beyond, their wines champion freshness, texture and unadulterated fruit character, with an emphasis on making bottles that are as much fun to drink as they are interesting to explore. There is serious winemaking behind the operation, but precious little of the unnecessary seriousness that can come with it.
Half Full is a bright, juicy red that puts freshness and immediate enjoyment first. Expect vibrant red berry fruit, juicy raspberry and hints of nectarine, carried by refreshing acidity and a light, easygoing palate. Best served with a slight chill, this is Australian red wine without the unnecessary seriousness. Less contemplation, more drinking.
