Adega Augalevada was founded in 1998 by Fernando González Arias in the Ribeiro zone of Galicia, with a clear aim to revive traditional varieties and site driven expressions that had largely been overlooked during the region’s commercial expansion. The estate is based around Arnoia and the Avia valley, where granitic soils, Atlantic influence and varied exposures shape wines of freshness and quiet complexity. Farming is carried out organically with a strong emphasis on old vines, massal selections and low yields, while all vineyard work is done by hand. In the cellar González Arias works with indigenous yeasts, gentle extraction and neutral vessels, favouring clarity and balance over weight, and allowing Ribeiro’s distinctive mix of varieties and soils to speak with precision.

Augalevada Ribeiro Ollos Branco 2023 is a field blend dominated by Treixadura with complementary local varieties grown on granite based soils at moderate altitude. The 2023 vintage was marked by a warm but balanced growing season, with Atlantic breezes and cool nights preserving acidity and aromatic detail. Grapes were harvested by hand and pressed gently before spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel to retain purity and freshness. The wine was aged on fine lees for several months to add texture while keeping the profile focused and vibrant. The resulting style is clean and expressive, showing pear, citrus peel, white flowers and subtle herbal notes, underpinned by granite driven minerality and a crisp, saline finish.
