Domaine Giudicelli is one of the quiet benchmarks of northern Corsica, centred on organically farmed parcels in the windswept hills of Patrimonio. The estate focuses on traditional varieties rooted in limestone rich soils that channel both salinity and tension. Work in the vineyards is entirely manual, with low yields, careful canopy management and a focus on ecological balance that allows the maquis scented landscape to shape the fruit. In the cellar the approach is restrained and transparent, relying on native ferments, gentle pressing, neutral vessels and measured lees ageing to reveal clarity, detail and the natural maritime imprint of Patrimonio.
Patrimonio Blanc 2023 is sourced from old vine Vermentinu planted on chalky limestone slopes that overlook the gulf, where constant sea breezes preserve acidity and aromatic lift. The 2023 season was warm but moderated by strong coastal winds that delayed ripening and maintained freshness, resulting in small berries with excellent balance. Harvesting took place entirely by hand at dawn to retain vibrancy, followed by slow pressing and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and older barrels. The wine was aged on fine lees for several months to integrate texture while keeping the style focused and mineral. The result is a pure and saline expression marked by citrus, white peach, herbs of the maquis and a long chalk dusted finish.
