Château de Bonnezeaux, nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley's Anjou region, is a historic estate revitalized by Guyonne Saclier de la Bâtie in 2012. Drawing inspiration from her mentor, biodynamic pioneer Mark Angeli, Guyonne transformed the once-neglected vineyards through biodynamic farming and meticulous replanting . The estate, spanning approximately nine hectares, now produces exceptional dry Chenin Blanc wines that reflect the unique schist and clay soils of Bonnezeaux . Employing traditional vertical champagne presses and extended aging in wooden barrels, their wines exhibit deep minerality and refined complexity. Limited in production, Château de Bonnezeaux's offerings are highly sought after, embodying a harmonious blend of heritage and innovation in Loire winemaking.
This Chenin Blanc reveals aromas of waxy apple and buttered stone fruit, with a hint of nail varnish. The palate is mellow, featuring nutty peach and red apple, enhanced by complexity from lees aging. Lifted and soft on the finish, it offers a fun, engaging experience from this biodynamic estate.
