Tetramythos, a hidden gem in the Peloponnese, produces exceptional wines at remarkable value. Nestled high on the slopes of Mount Aroania, overlooking the Corinthian Gulf, these are Greece’s only significant north-facing vineyards. With a ski resort nearby, the cool climate sets them apart, fostering a mix of old vines and rare indigenous varieties, all organically farmed with meticulous care.
A wonderfully pure expression of 100% Roditis from old, organically farmed bush vines in the mountainous Aigialia region of the northern Peloponnese. The vineyards sit at around 850m altitude, where cool winds from the Gulf of Corinth and large shifts between day and night help preserve remarkable freshness. Fermentation is spontaneous in stainless steel, followed by several months on the fine lees, with minimal sulphur and no fining or filtration.
Lemon, green apple and pear meet grapefruit, white flowers and subtle herbal notes. The palate is juicy and lightly textured, with vibrant acidity and a distinctly salty, mineral finish. Fresh, energetic and characterful — a brilliant example of just how good Roditis can be.
