Andreas is one of a group of five winemakers who work in the same spirit, the others being Franz Strohmeier, his brother Ewald, Sepp Muster & Roland Tauss. Together they form “Schmecke das Lebe.” Andreas has beautiful vineyards bursting with life – you can feel the energy with the riot of plants, herbs and flowers growing amongst the vines.
Tscheppe's Schwalbenschwanz is not made in every vintage and when it is the quantities are minute. This is Golden Muskateller from the Krepskogel vineyard (the same as the Green Dragonfly) and is given the full skin contact treatment. Astonishing wine with wild herbal-meets-balsamic quality, grapefruit skin, crushed minerals and gripping tannins. Carafe it and watch the wine change - slowly.
