Alonso y Pedrajo is a small, quality focused project rooted in Rioja Alta, working with old vines and low yields to craft wines of authenticity and precision. The estate farms sustainably, prioritising careful vineyard management and minimal intervention in the cellar to allow site and variety to speak clearly. Rather than following formulaic regional styles, the philosophy centres on balance, structure and longevity, with particular attention paid to texture and ageing potential.
Suane Rioja Rosado Reserva 2021 is a serious, gastronomic rosado built for depth and evolution rather than simple refreshment. Sourced from old vine parcels in Rioja Alta, the 2021 vintage offered concentration alongside bright natural acidity. Hand harvested fruit is gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, followed by extended ageing in oak to develop complexity and structure. The wine shows wild strawberry, blood orange and dried herb notes, underpinned by savoury spice and a firm, persistent finish that reflects its Reserva classification.

Winemaking Manual harvested, destemmed grapes maccerated for about 10 days, fermented in stainless steel with ingigenous yeast. Aged in French oak barrels for 1 year, followed by 4 months in concrete for resting the wine, then a further 15 months in bottle before release. Lightly filtred but unfined, little So2 added at bottling.
