Sangiovese from a thirty year old parcel planted over clay in Orvieto. The grapes were destemmed, fermented on the skins for three weeks and the wine spent six months ageing in large chestnut casks. Bright cherry in colour, the nose is thick with spice, while the palate offers firm tannins and a pleasant herbaceous character that screams for something beautiful off the grill.
