Marchand-Tawse
Domaine Tawse is a Beaune based Burgundy estate founded in 2006 by Canadian entrepreneur Moray Tawse, who built the domaine through the rapid acquisition of high quality vineyard holdings across both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Rather than relying on inherited parcels, the estate was assembled with a clear ambition to work at the top level of Burgundy, securing Premier and Grand Cru sites in appellations including Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Nuits Saint Georges, Meursault and Puligny Montrachet. From the outset, the focus has been on precision viticulture, with organic and biodynamic principles applied across the vineyards alongside strict control of yields, rigorous sorting and carefully timed harvests. Winemaking is overseen by Pascal Marchand, whose influence brings a disciplined and low intervention approach shaped by his extensive experience in Burgundy, favouring whole berry fermentation where appropriate, gentle extraction and long élevage in French oak to preserve detail and site transparency. The result is a portfolio defined by clarity, structure and a strong sense of terroir across a wide range of appellations.
