Maison Valette
Maison Valette was established in the early 1900s by the Valette family in the village of Vergisson, adjacent to Pouilly‑Fuissé. For three generations they’ve refined their approach to hillside Chardonnay, transitioning in the 1970s from bulk to estate bottling to spotlight their finest terroirs. In the 1990s, they embraced precision viticulture—green harvesting, low-cropping, and site-specific selection across Kimmeridgian marl slopes—to enhance minerality and tension. Their evolution from regional winegrower to a focused domaine producer underscores a commitment to stylistic clarity and vineyard authenticity within the Mâconnais.
