Maison Les Grands Pas is a young domaine based in L’Étoile, in the Jura, founded by Romain and Arianne, who left their careers in Paris to pursue a new life in the region. Previously a lawyer and restaurateurs, Romain went on to study viticulture and winemaking before gaining experience alongside Emmanuel Houillon and Nicolas Jacob. In 2024, the couple took over Ludwig Bindernagel’s domaine in L’Étoile, bringing an approach centred on vineyard health, biodiversity and controlled yields to produce balanced, concentrated fruit. In the cellar, the reds undergo gentle extraction and relatively short ageing to preserve freshness and drinkability, while the whites receive a minimum of two years of élevage to develop structure and complexity. Sulphur is used only when necessary, with the priority being to produce precise, vibrant wines that reflect their Jura terroir.
An elegant and aromatic Pineau d’Aunis with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant, alongside floral aromas, white pepper and subtle herbal nuances. Light-bodied and lively on the palate, with fine tannins, bright acidity and a gently spicy finish. A delicate, fragrant red that emphasises freshness, purity of fruit and drinkability.
