The inaugural release from La Terre Penchée, the small Jura domaine founded by Margaux Dermine and Étienne Gasnier. Les Vieux Os is made from Chardonnay sourced from vines over 80 years old in the En Billat vineyard, in the southern Revermont. Planted on limestone marl, the old vines produce naturally low yields. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, followed by two years ageing in used oak barrels, before bottling without fining or filtration.
Ripe apple, preserved lemon and dried fruits meet subtle almond and hazelnut notes. The palate is concentrated and textured, balanced by vibrant acidity, fine bitters and a long, saline finish. A structured and precise Chardonnay with considerable depth and ageing potential.
