Patrice Béguet is part of the Jura winemaking family headed by his father Hughes Béguet. While Hughes represents the family’s traditional domaine and classic style, Patrice has established his own project focused on natural, biodynamic practices and minimal intervention. Both work with native Jura varieties on limestone-rich soils, but Patrice’s wines often showcase a more experimental, expressive approach. Cuvées labelled Hughes Béguet reflect the family legacy, while those under Patrice Béguet highlight his distinct natural winemaking philosophy rooted in respect for terroir and sustainability.
Silk Blue 2023 is a delicate red blend of Ploussard, Trousseau, and Savagnin from low-yielding vines. The grapes were hand harvested and underwent natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine matured in a combination of stainless steel and acacia wood, adding textural complexity. The 2023 vintage was warm but balanced, resulting in fresh acidity and aromatic depth. The wine presents wild red fruit, subtle earthiness, and a smooth, elegant finish.
