Juravinum is the commercial label of the Fruitière Vinicole de Pupillin cooperative in the Jura region of eastern France. The cooperative was established in 1909 by growers from Pupillin who joined forces to vinify and market their wines together. Today the cooperative sources fruit from around thirty vineyard owners mostly around Pupillin, Arbois and nearby communes in Jura. Members work sustainably and farm their vineyards with traditional methods, and the winemaking for Juravinum cuvées uses careful manual harvesting, indigenous yeast fermentations and minimal intervention in the cellar to produce wines that express the cool continental climate and unique terroir of the region. Le Glanon Arbois Trousseau 2023 is a red wine made from 100 % Trousseau grown on red Triassic marl soils in the l’Huguenette parcel near Pupillin. The grapes are hand harvested and undergo a period of semi carbonic maceration before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in wooden vats. After fermentation the wine is aged in large foudres for six to eight months and bottled without fining or filtration, preserving freshness and vibrant fruit expression. Typical aromatics include ripe red berry and wild strawberry notes with earthy and spice elements and a lively, balanced palate characteristic of Trousseau from the Arbois‑Pupillin area.
