Juravinum is the commercial label of the Fruitière Vinicole de Pupillin cooperative in the Jura region of eastern France. The cooperative was founded in 1909 by winegrowers from the village of Pupillin who joined forces to pool skills and resources to make wines that express the local terroir. Today the cooperative covers around 60 hectares of vineyards mostly in Pupillin, with members also supplying grapes from nearby Arbois and Côtes du Jura. About 30 growers contribute fruit that is vinified together, producing a range of Jura wines including floral whites, light reds, crémants and vin de liqueur in styles traditional to the region, with sustainable farming and careful cellar work.
Le Glanon Arbois Chardonnay 2022 is made from 100 % Chardonnay hand harvested from vineyards around Pupillin with soil of marl and limestone influence. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed, then fermented in large wooden foudres at controlled temperature. After fermentation the wine is aged for about twelve months in wood and malolactic fermentation is completed before bottling with no additions. This wine shows floral aromatics with green apple and white fruit notes, lively acidity and a saline mineral thread that reflects both the Jura terroir and the non‑oxidative vinification style typical of this cuvée.
