The Ciolli family own the 5 hectares vineyards since at least 4 generations. Indeed, long before Damiano, his grandfather, then his father used to sell the ensuing wine in bulk to the capital. When he took charge of the winery in 2001, Damiano straightaway focused on quality, persuaded, as he was that the Cesanese variety could yield very fine wines.
The appearance of the wine is ruby red with garnet hues, the nose has pleasant fruity aromas of red small berries, dried roses and herbs. The palate is crisp and lean with notes of wild herbs and aromatic spices, nicely balanced with good tannins that blend perfectly with a mineral hint.
