Jean-Claude Lapalu is a third generation winemaker but only began his own domaine in 1996. Previously, his family had been grape growers selling to the cooperative. He didn’t have a clear idea of the wines he wanted to make at that stage, only an idea of the wines he didn’t want to make. It took him 5 or 6 years to get rid of the additives and interventions he’d learned about at the wine school he attended in Charentay. Altogether, he has 12 hectares of vines in total, most of which are old (60–80 years), and which are farmed organically.
Lovely texture to the ripe fruits here. Elegant and generous with some mineral notes. Real depth and elegance to the cherry fruit, which is backed by good structure.

Winemaking Manual harvested, 80% whole bunch, 20% carbonic maceration destemmed with traditional vinification. 10-20 days cuvaison, 5 months in old oak barriques. No filtration, no fining, a tiny amount of sulphur added at bottling only.

All orders are shipped via UPS Express Delivery. The estimated delivery time is between 3 to 8 working days from the moment of processing.
We offer shipping to all the countries mentioned above for a flat fee of £18.99 per order, regardless of size or weight. Unfortunately, we cannot offer free shipping to these countries.
Due to internal regulations, we are unable to ship our wines to Sweden or Finland.
As an international customer, we will not charge you UK VAT or taxes. However, based on your country's regulations, you will need to pay customs and handling fees, which are generally around 20%.
USA, Canada, Asia, Australia
Although we ship regularly to these countries, we are unable to provide a fixed cost for shipping due to constant rate changes. Please contact us for a bespoke quote.

We use only sustainable, recycled and recycling packaging that provides the highest standard of protection to the bottles. When possible, your wine is delivered in reused but reliable packaging that significantly helps the environment and also keeps down unnecessary costs, allowing the wines to do the talking.
