Finca Casa Balaguer are a small family run winery based in Alicante. Their wines are made in the most natural way possible, practicing organic agriculture. The focus is on local grape
varieties such as Monastrell, Merseguera, Moscatel and Malvasia, and only natural yeasts and absolutely no chemical additives are used in their wines. In their own words, ‘we believe our grapes should express themselves naturally, so it is our job as wines makers to provide them with the best possible environment in which to grow. The less intervention from us in the winery the better, so our wines can truly reflect the character of our wonderful land.
Bright cherry in colour. The nose leads with vibrant red fruits, especially strawberry and raspberry, supported by subtle notes of lavender and thyme. Fresh on the palate with a touch of wild herbs. Medium-bodied and well balanced.

Winemaking Manual harvested, each variety fermented on skin separately, then individually Aged: Monastrell - 8 months in used oak (500L), Garnacha Peluda - 12 months in concrete vats, Arcos - 8 months in amphora, Valencí - 8 months in amphora and demi-johns & Tortosí - stainless steel only. After that belnded in stainless steel and aged another 3 months. Lighlty filtred
